The East Gippsland town of Bairnsdale, Victoria now includes a brand-new state-of-the-art Dan Murphy’s store, with Castlerock partnering with the national drinks retailer to bring the 1,250 square metre store to life.

The development, located at 259 Main Street, Bairnsdale was completed and made open to the wider community in late June.

Castlerock already has a long and proud history within the Gippsland region, with the award-winning Latrobe Valley GovHub located in the nearby town of Morwell and a recently re-development of a retail facility to house Woolworths.

The new Dan Murphy’s building incorporated several inclusions that are synonymous with the Castlerock name, including a long-term lease of 10- years, and the high involvement of local labour throughout the construction process.

Since the beginning of construction in mid-2022, 60 jobs were generated with a further 20 full-time, casual and part-time employees to service customers and support the new store.

Speaking on the completion of the project, Managing Director Adam Bronts said, “The Castlerock team have worked extremely hard to pull this development together and deliver such a high-quality asset. We’re very proud we have delivered another quality asset in Bairnsdale.”
